This week at MOPS

Rebecca Bass-Ching, LMFT

Rebecca is a therapist, writer and speaker at schools, churches, and organizations on topics related to food and body issues, trauma, identity, relationships and shame. She established Potentia to merge all of her passions while providing resources and outpatient care to those in need of specialized support. Rebecca is currently serving as President of the San Diego chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and also serves as an expert panelist for Rebecca utilizes her previous professional experiences and stays connected to local, state and federal advocacy groups to help improve the quality of care for those suffering from eating disorders and related issues. Prior to her work as a therapist, Rebecca worked as an Aide to a United States Senator in Washington DC and as an Account Executive for an Issue Advocacy Advertising Firm in New York City. She also worked for Young Life's International Division as an Area Director in Z├╝rich, Switzerland, and then as their International Staff Coordinator. Originally from the Midwest, Rebecca still misses the snow and seasons but loves all that San Diego has to offer outdoors year-round: hiking, biking, beach time and water sports, exploring local farmers markets or working out in the park with her beloved boot camp buddies. Rebecca is happily married and the mother of two young children.
